Today Year 6 completed their Cyber Hunts. Very impressed by the way they presented their findings. Well done Year 6.
Yesterday we had a visit from the Fire service. We were very lucky that they brought their fire engine into the school grounds so we could look around it. The children also had the opportunity to feel like a fire fighter and use the hose.
Once back in Reception class the children dressed up as fire fighters, rescuing people and putting out fires.
Last session with the Groundwork team today. 🙁 What a fantastic morning the children had. They learned how to make a campfire, baked bread, eat the bread with garlic butter, drank hot chocolate and melted chocolate so that they could indulge in marshmallows and creamy chocolate. The children have thoroughly enjoyed their time with the Groundwork team and have...
Great but busy afternoon with Year 6. The children replied to their blogs and wished our American counterparts a Happy Thanksgiving for Thursday. Today we looked at why we have robots. The children in Reception class visited Middleton library today. All the children chose their own book and brought it back to school. Thank you to all our parent volunteers who came with us and made the visit possible. Reception children would also like to thank those parents who carried all the books back for them.
This week the children in Year 5 and 6 enjoyed an exciting afternoon of French with Madame Hunt! Thank you to Miss Turner for her fantastic support.
Well done to all of the children who participated in the lessons... I think they will all soon be able to holiday confidently in France!
Year 2 joined Reception Class for a visit to Middleton Library! All of the children had great fun choosing a book of their choice!
Everyone was allowed to take their book back to school to read and we will return our books together in the following weeks.
Well done Year 2 for your impeccable behaviour throughout the morning!
Fantastic Anti-Bullying week with St John Fisher children. All year round lesson highlighted this week. Tons of resources used including Alice, hands, ScratchJr, jigsaws and videos. Thank you children for the amazing Anti-Bullying displays. All Different❤️All Equal.
Lovely day with Reception Class. A couple of pictures from our library trip this morning (huge thanks to the lovely parent helpers 😄👏). Year 1 had a very special treat this morning! We walked to Middleton library, looked at lots of books and then we got to take one back to school! Everybody really enjoyed it and when we got back to school we had a look at the books we chose. Well done Year 1 for being so sensible! What a...
The children in Reception class all took part in a sponsored walk today to raise money for Children in Need. Thank you to the family and friends of the reception children who sponsored them. Once we have collected all the money we will be able to publish how much we raised.
We've done it!
