A Mystery Egg was left in the Reception classroom this morning. The children were asked to look after it until the mummy returned. Each child wrote a notice to tell people of how to behave near the egg to keep it safe. We are all excited to see what will hatch from the egg.
The children in reception class have been experimenting mixing colours. Unfortunately, once they had mixed the colours they began exploring how it would look on themselves and each other. Apologies to parents for the paint on clothes.
Screams of delight and laughter emerged from the hall this morning. Yes, you guessed it M&M were in with an amazing performance of Beauty and the Beast. Very happy children @MandMTheatrical thank you and Merry Christmas. 🎄

And we know that whatever field our children choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works. Fewer than half of all schools teach computer science. That’s why our entire school is joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour...
Yesterday we had a visit from the Fire service. We were very lucky that they brought their fire engine into the school grounds so we could look around it. The children also had the opportunity to feel like a fire fighter and use the hose.
Once back in Reception class the children dressed up as fire fighters, rescuing people and putting out fires.
The children in Reception class visited Middleton library today. All the children chose their own book and brought it back to school. Thank you to all our parent volunteers who came with us and made the visit possible. Reception children would also like to thank those parents who carried all the books back for them.
Fantastic Anti-Bullying week with St John Fisher children. All year round lesson highlighted this week. Tons of resources used including Alice, hands, ScratchJr, jigsaws and videos. Thank you children for the amazing Anti-Bullying displays. All Different❤️All Equal.

The children in Reception class all took part in a sponsored walk today to raise money for Children in Need. Thank you to the family and friends of the reception children who sponsored them. Once we have collected all the money we will be able to publish how much we raised.
We've done it!
