The children in Year 2 have been learning about Fractions. Their Learning Intention was to find fractions of amounts and numbers.
The children were very excited to use Smarties to help them to solve the given Fraction problems!

The children in Year 2 have been learning how to multiply numbers in groups of 2, 5,10, 3 and 4. They used a simple method called 'Arrays'. The children worked with their 'Kagan' partner.

The children in Year 2 played a Maths game called 'Quiz, Quiz, Trade!'
The objective was for children to learn their number bonds to 20. Each child had a card with a number on the front and the back. They showed their partner the first number and then asked 'How many more to 20?!'

In year 1 we have been learning how to measure using rulers. We've really enjoyed getting out in the sunshine and measuring things in our playground. This week Year 1 will have some practice time on the Skoolbo app. Skoolbo is an app for children to help with Reading, Maths and Languages. Skoolbo contains dedicated areas for children, parents and teachers. Children are immersed in an incredible learning world and are highly motivated by the inbuilt rewards mechanisms.
Year 3 discussed dirty data last week. This week we will look at simple block graphs and identify obvious errors. Year 3 must also be able to explain the reasons why the data was identified as being incorrect.No legend, title and axis are not labelled.
