This week is World Autism Awareness Week.
We will be holding a cake sale tomorrow (Monday 26th March) all cakes will be 20p.
All money raised will be donated to The National Autistic Society.

Today was Year 3's charity day. We are working to raise money for The Christie Charity. Year 3's created delicious 'Ice Age ice pops' which will be on sale today after school.
As part of our fundraising we also completed a 'Soak the teacher' sponsored run. The children certainly enjoyed getting their own back on their class teachers!!

The children in reception class have been experimenting mixing colours. Unfortunately, once they had mixed the colours they began exploring how it would look on themselves and each other. Apologies to parents for the paint on clothes.
Yesterday we had a visit from the Fire service. We were very lucky that they brought their fire engine into the school grounds so we could look around it. The children also had the opportunity to feel like a fire fighter and use the hose.
Once back in Reception class the children dressed up as fire fighters, rescuing people and putting out fires.
Last session with the Groundwork team today. 🙁 What a fantastic morning the children had. They learned how to make a campfire, baked bread, eat the bread with garlic butter, drank hot chocolate and melted chocolate so that they could indulge in marshmallows and creamy chocolate. The children in Reception class visited Middleton library today. All the children chose their own book and brought it back to school. Thank you to all our parent volunteers who came with us and made the visit possible. Reception children would also like to thank those parents who carried all the books back for them.
