“‘oo’ poo at the farm” “‘or’ shut the barn door'”

Year one have had a fantastic day at the farm today! We have been very busy petting animals in the petting barn and walking around the farm. We saw lots of different animals: rabbits, rats, mice, guinea pigs, a tortoise (which was huge), pigs, horses, donkeys, goats, ducks, turkeys, peacocks and chickens. We spoke about the features of the different animals and about where they live. We also spoke about the features of the local area: the train track, the canal and houses. There were some funny smells at the farm and the children adapted our phonics rhymes which we use in class to the farm (as above in the title). We all really enjoyed our trip and we were on our best behaviour all day. Take a look at our pictures.
