Yesterday, Year 4 went to Clough Court sheltered accommodation home to sing Christmas carols to the residents. We enjoyed entertaining everyone and chatting to the residents afterwards. We loved bringing Christmas cheer to the community!

Year 4 have been remembering the soldiers who fought in both world wars and all wars since. They learned about rationing and how eggs were not usually available for baking with. Because of this, bicarbonate of soda and vinegar was used to make cakes rise. The cakes were often sent from the families to the troops in the trenches...
Proud of Year 4 and how they just get on with their work. Today they added video to their Italian Guide books. Time for a bit of fun. Year 4 changed the Google Logo to their own name, they loved it. Next week they finish and upload their travel guides to Seesaw. Well done Year 4 😄...

Excited that all St John Fisher children are taking part in The World's Largest Lesson this week. Working together to educate young people about how they can learn about the U.N. sustainable development goals. The children will be learning about Goal Number 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production and Goal Number 13 – Climate Action.
Today, Year 4 went to Pizza Express in Manchester. They learned about how dough is made and had a go at kneading it and stretching it to make a pizza base.
