Year 3

  • Year 3 have been learning about the reasons Catholics choose to have their children baptised. They interviewed some staff members and asked them why they chose (or will choose) to baptise their child and how they support them on their faith journey.
  • Year 3 had a great trip to Lytham St Anne’s despite the rain. They learned about how different sea defences protect the human features of the coastline. They also cared for our common home by collecting plastic and other litter.
  • Well done to our wonderful Year 3 award winners
  • Geography super learning day in Year 3 - using maps and atlases to locate countries and counties.
  • Year 3 loved speaking to ex-pupil Riley about his job in the Army. They asked some brilliant questions!
  • A lovely transition morning for our Year 3 children. They are certainly ready for Year 4 in September
  • Year 3 had a fabulous MFL Super learning day. They learned about the Olympic Games which will be taking place in Paris this summer. They watched the flag parade at the opening ceremony of a previous games and described the flags in French. Fantastique!
  • The children had an amazing Enterprise Week.
  • The children have thoroughly enjoyed World Book Day. Bringing in their favourite books and dressing up in pyjamas. Well done children
  • This week was all about listening. We talked about how we show we are listening and where we listen to God’s word.✝️
  • Year 3 - This weeks 2nd session Sacramental Programme went very well. The children worked on, What is the Church?
  • Year 3 led a wonderful celebration for our end of year Mass. Wonderful singing as we reflected on the year just gone and what the new year will bring.

  • Welcome back to Computing Year 3. How fantastic they have been today. The children have learnt how to search the Internet for pictures, save them to the camera roll and then place them into Book Creator comics.
  • Our amazing Year 3 have today been on the laptops. So much learning has taken place including, highlighting, shift key, usernames and passwords, font size, spellcheck and grammar and punctuation mistakes!
  • Fast paced afternoon with Year 3. Participating in a ‘3D Shapes’ Kahoot quiz and a magnificent 74%. Using ScratchJR to code our initials and save our work. Lastly drawing the Great Pyramids of Giza for their topic work. A big well done Year 3

  • Fantastic afternoon in Year 3. The children have played the Who is it? Game where they can only ask questions with a yes/no answer. Painting by numbers - A Woolly Mammoth! Catch up with Newsround.
  • The children have started to understand Branching Databases by asking questions that only have a yes/no answers. The children also created their own Stone Age setting.
  • Year 3 have used pictures from their topic work to create Stone Age photographs
